As part of the Marine Litter Med Plus project funded by the European Union, SPA/RAC launches a Call for consultation to assist Libya in developing its national operational strategy and monitoring programme for IMAP Candidate Common Indicator 24. This indicator focuses on “Trends in the amount of marine litter ingested by marine organisms or in the marine environment focusing on selected mammals, marine birds, and marine turtles”.

The consultation will also support the implementation and operationalization of the monitoring programme and ensure the submission of collected data to the IMAP Info System.

This work is expected to begin this year and continue until June 2026.
