10/24: Call for applications for the recruitment of 5 experts for the mid-term evaluation of the Post-2020 SAPBIO

The Specially Protected Areas Regional Activity Centre (SPA/RAC) is launching a call to recruit a team of five international experts to conduct the mid-term evaluation of the Post-2020 Strategic Action Programme for the Conservation of Biodiversity and Sustainable Management of Natural Resources in the Mediterranean Region (Post-2020 SAPBIO).

Adopted at COP 22 ofthe Barcelona Convention, the Post-2020 SAPBIO aims to preserve and restore Mediterranean biodiversity by 2030.

The team will work inclose collaboration with SPA/RAC, the SAPBIO Advisory Committee, and SAPBIO National Correspondents. The expert team composition and roles are as follows:

  • Lead Team Expert: Responsible for coordinating the overall assessment and compilation of information, including a focus on governance and policy topics.
  • Western Mediterranean Sub-region Expert: Focused on the assessment of the Western Mediterranean area.
  • Ionian Sea and Central Mediterranean Sub-region Expert: Focused on the assessment of the Ionian Sea and Central Mediterranean area.
  • Adriatic Sea Sub-region Expert: Focused on the assessment of the Adriatic Sea area.
  • Aegean Sea and Levantine Basin Sub-region Expert: Focused on the assessment of the Aegean Sea and Levantine Basin area.
