This call is launched in the framework of the QuietSeas project, funded by the European Commission's DG Environment.

The QUIETSEAS project aims at strengthening cooperation for the implementation of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive provisions on underwater noise.

As a partner in the project, SPA/RAC is launching this call to recruit a consultant to work on the EU threshold values for impulsive underwater noise.
In particular, the consultant will be responsible for developing the rationale for the selection of thresholds for anthropogenic underwater noise and for proposing thresholds applicable in the Mediterranean in the context of the implementation of the ecosystem approach by the Barcelona Convention.
